My Role
I joined the Bendly project as a Junior Product Designer, working within a small design team alongside a Lead Designer and a fellow Junior Designer. My work was reviewed and guided by the Lead Designer throughout the project. My responsibilities included conducting user interviews, synthesising research insights, creating personas and empathy maps, designing user flows, wireframing, and contributing to usability testing and ensuring every design decision was grounded in real user needs and aligned with the team's overall design direction.
Context
The rise of remote and hybrid work has significantly increased the amount of time employees spend sitting at their desks. Long hours of screen time often lead to physical discomfort, mental fatigue, and reduced productivity. Studies show desk workers can sit for 6–10 hours a day, increasing the risk of back pain, poor posture, eye strain, and stress. Although many employees know they should take breaks, they often forget or feel too busy. Bendly was created to bridge this gap — encouraging healthier work habits by prompting users to take short stretch and movement breaks throughout the workday.

Point Of View Statement
Remote and hybrid desk workers need a simple, non-intrusive way to be reminded and guided through short movement breaks during the workday, because prolonged sitting causes physical discomfort and mental fatigue that disrupts both their health and productivity.
